Grain Storage & Delivery

Greenville Cooperative of eastern Wisconsin offers grain storage and drying for corn, soybeans and oats.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Normal grain elevator hours are 7:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. During harvest, however, hours may be extended based upon patron request, grain receipt activity, and weather conditions. For extended hour availability during the workweek, please contact location personnel daily. For weekend grain deliveries, please contact location personnel the Friday prior to the weekend for up to date information.

OUR GRAIN POLICY
Thank you for storing your crop production with us at Greenville Cooperative. We have a small grain house and most of our customers are local area producers. Since we are not on rail, most of the stored grain goes for feed at our location or other mills or ethanol production. We do ship some soybeans for export market, so international standards apply.

There is incharge of 10 cents per bushel, minimum billing of $10. Storage rates are currently 48 cents per bushel per year for corn or oats and 60 cents per bushel per year for soybeans. Storage is billed monthly for each day the grain is stored. Grain that you use or sell us during the month only incurs storage charges for the days it is in storage. Unpaid storage charges past two months will trigger grain sales to bring accounts into current position.

There is an outcharge of 10 cents per bushel, minimum of $10 if you choose to remove grain from storage for sale to others. There is no outcharge for you to use your grain in your feed, and family operations can share the same grain account as long as the storage is paid and it does not cause friction between family members. You need to notify us if one of the children or brothers is to be denied access to your grain and we were previously instructed that it was allowed.

We will carry insurance for the value of the crops in storage and guarantee quality standards. The grain is commingled and it is impossible for us to return your actual kernels of grain, but you are entitled to the quantity and quality of grain placed into storage. Since storage space is limited, all grain is subject to removal after one year, either sold to us or loaded out. The USDA quality standards apply and Greenville Cooperative is a federally inspected warehouse and also subject to Wisconsin Department of Agriculture oversight and regulation. Many of our grain storage customers are long term patrons. Since we have no access to ship grain by rail, large crop producers often elect to construct their own storage facilities on their farm. We can assist then with marketing and forward contracting grain sales.

The cost of transportation is the responsibility of the owner of the grain, and may be subject to destination weights and grades.
